Hi! I’m rebecca. I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a wife, and a mother. Most importantly, I am a woman on a mission to stop the self-doubt and insecurities that media and popular culture often infuse into my conscience, and maybe yours, too.
I used to think that I had to be a certain way as a woman. And then I realized that there are no definitions, no boundaries. We were each created uniquely and with heaps of strength and grace. We have a lot of power, and I personally am just now learning how to harness that power to create a more peaceful and loving world.
Growing up has been a shocking experience for me. Watching as women fall into roles they don’t want to be in, but have no confidence to step out in faith to live their own lives. Watching as women are shackled by rules of society, with some societies being much more restrictive than others. Watching as mothers define themselves by certain rules and then refusing to have grace for others who’ve made different choices. Watching as my culture becomes more and more divided by what we do… stay home with children? Work? Pubilc school? Home school? Private school? Have kids at all? Get married? Be in a committed relationship?
All I see are divisions, and not much coming together as women to support one another. This space is committed to unifying women and their supporters. Just a safe place for all to gather, learn from one another, and be inspired by fellow goddesses on a journey. And, most importantly, to highlight real ways that men and women are out in the world empowering and lifting up women and girls who find themselves in hard places.
