So... What is the Goddess Mission?
Our mission is to celebrate and empower women from every tribe, tongue and nation. All are welcome here!
In our culture today, women often stand divided instead of united. I believe this is a huge setback to our selves and our communities. Often there are groups dedicated to certain types of women- and that is wonderful and not to be demeaned. Groups that support women of certain religions, certain races, certain cultures, certain life choices (working vs. stay-at-home mothering), etc. provide a place for peace and growth that we all desire.
But rarely do we find a place where women (and their supporters!) of all shapes, sizes, ages, colors, religions or no religion, languages, work choices, sexual orientation, children/no children, etc, can gather without fear of judgment or exclusion, but with an expectation of being celebrated, supported, and empowered. That is the mission of this website- to support the beautiful goddess women who surround us every day, and to highlight the ways that women and men around the world are making positive impacts on the lives of the girls and women in their midst.
I do not seek to reflect on the word “goddess” as a deity, rather to use the word as an endearing term for the women who provide a powerful backbone to their own families and societies around the globe.
This space will draw from all kinds of texts, simple stories, religious movements and leaders, humanistic writings, and lives well lived to share in the great story of our world, and how women impact this story on a daily basis. And, hopefully, to inspire YOU to live your best life, as the beloved, beautifully created goddess that you are.
