confession friday

Something I've always loved to do? Confess. I like to confess to the internet. Strange, sure. But cleansing! And it's nice to give readers a place to confess, too. So, Fridays on the goddess mission will be to confess our junk, and give it away, to start the weekend off right (to be a more productive goddesses, yes! being truthful with ourselves and others is oh so empowering!).
I'll go first.

*I ate four chocolate chip cookies for dinner on Wednesday. I made lasagna and my kids decided they hated it, which made me mad, so I sulked and ate cookies. See, the problem with homemade cookies that I invented and love is that I can make them any time and then eat them all. Oops. Not exactly the best thing to put in my body. (but they were awesome!). Here's to better self-regulation next week...
*I've had a hard time adjusting to the busy-ness of this new season of life, full of schedules and driving and being pulled in so many directions. I want to do my best to not feel overwhelmed by it all, but to embrace it and take deep breaths and take it one day at a time. Phew.
*I felt hot, steamy anger towards the man who brutally attacked a muslim cab driver this week. Sometimes the hatred in this world is overwhelming. But answering this man's violence with my own anger will solve nothing, and I had to remind myself of that. In the moment of hearing about this attack, though, I wanted to cry. I pray that somehow peace and understanding can be brought from this situation. And reconciliation/justice.
*I did feel despair over religious divisions in this country this week. Seeing people as people, beautiful creations... regardless of labels... helps me to love everyone more deeply, even through disagreements over what is "right" and "wrong."
*I confess that this goddess does not want to clean her house tomorrow. goddesses really have to clean???

I wish you all a very happy weekend! Anything you want to confess?
